Beloit (0413)6/17 to 7/3131176610,382,362214272We had fewer students and we didn't auto enroll students who had failed one or more classes during the school year.
Benton (0427)6/6 to 8/946119289,38064Larger course participation. A lot of homeschooled students attended this summer (31)
Birchwood (0441)6/10 to 8/2831111483,210107We offered an extra day for summer school, allowing students to come in for 3 hours to learn about the curriculum, classroom expectations, and participate in enrichment activities. We also had a greater number of students participate in middle school enrichment this year.
Blair-Taylor (0485)6/11 to 8/30365531,341,6922817We have two reasons. The first is that we have a new pool and we have summer school swimming lessons that we had a number of years ago. We also did a summer school orientation and jump start to the beginning of the school year with our students.
Boyceville Community (0637)6/13 to 8/28285748,81012We did not offer the summer weight lifting program.

Edgar (1561)6/5 to 8/24344462,987,5906143Our core summer school runs for 5 weeks. During the 2018-19 school year we had 18 core summer school days. During the 2019-20 school year we had 19 core summer school days. So we had one additional core day this summer. The majority of our students attend on the “core days.” We also offered 42 classes the summer of 2019 vs 39 classes the summer of 2018, so 3 more offerings this summer compared to last summer.
Edgerton (1568)6/10 to 8/84216122,119,5874476Due to referendum work, we are starting school Aug 22nd. This resulted in not offering our Jump Start Classes in August which is a loss of 50400 minutes. We also had to reduce the time for our online classes which resulted in a loss of minutes. Overall, we had 12 less days of summer school and with a shorter summer, several staff did not teach this year. In 2018 we had 46 classes offered and this year we had 34 which is 12 less. All of the above factors contributed to a lower FTE.
Eleva-Strum (1600)6/10 to 8/30506542,305,4534727We had a significant increase in summer school offerings to address the lack of fine arts opportunities for students, as well as programming to address lagging test scores and student mental health.
Elmwood (1666)6/7 to 8/3055186574,065127We added several new courses this summer.

Florence (1855)6/17 to 8/1427184231,59559A log was used for select classes in order to determine actual minutes of instruction. The Aurora location for one class was primarily non-resident students.
Fox Point J2 (1890)6/24 to 7/1918234621,720139We have had an increase in student enrollment due to more offerings in our summer school program.

Genoa City J2 (2051)6/17 to 8/824159405,98585The District did a parent survey to determine how we could improve our summer school program and increase student attendance. The format of our summer school was revised to include more academic courses that were "hands on" and of interest to students. We added an additional hour to our summer school day (from 3 hours to 4 hours) so we could offer intensive academic focus courses in reading and math.
Glenwood City (2198)6/17 to 8/305118201,592,7903321We started a new format, offering three two week sessions throughout the summer and varied our summer program to be more attractive to students.
Granton Area (2226)6/10 to 8/2938133278,64062In previous years, we offered our traditional days with classes in the morning and parents were responsible to provide transportation for their children. This year, we offered our usual classes however we added three additional full days of summer school and provided transportation which significantly increased our summer enrollment.
Green Bay Area (2289)6/17 to 8/1640670723,135,784476559Reduced the number of sites available for students
Green Lake (2310)6/17 to 7/1819130227,76653More course offerings including credit recovery, math boot camp, reading boot camp and choir. More student participation.

Hartland-Lakeside J3 (2460)6/17 to 8/9355652,476,3185187The difference is: We had 69 less students for summer school this year than summer school last year and 4 less days of summer school this year than last year.
Holmen (2562)6/10 to 8/304316014,759,9569863Last year, we missed counting minutes from lines 84-113 on the worksheet, which resulted in a number of lost minutes from our middle school and high school music programs (band, choir, orchestra).
Holy Hill Area (2570)6/24 to 8/117166137,80239Reduced program offerings.

Lac Du Flambeau #1 (1848)10/1 to 6/2512418510,420115We had a week in October and a week in April where we offered classes. Parents wanted their children in school rather than the real summer vacation.
Lakeland UHS (3647)6/10 to 8/83756291,60063The discrepancy is due to 1. the fact that we are using the form 1804 W2 7-12 Online Courses to record strictly online students who earned course credit. 2. A new charter school was open for the 2018-2019 school year and some of these students participated in summer school for the first time during summer 2019.
Lancaster Community (2912)6/10 to 8/23595362,538,0455227We added an additional session of summer school for grades 4K-5th grade. Last year we offered one session for grades 5K-5th grade. We also extended the instructional day of both summer school sessions to accommodate the summer food service program. This was the first time we have offered breakfast and lunch to our students for summer school.

Madison Metropolitan (3269)6/24 to 8/228570827,171,027559686The reduction in this year's FTE is due to the following factors: 1. 4th of July Holiday Impact: Last year we closed for one day on July 4th. This year, we closed for two days, July 4th and 5th. This had an impact on the number of instructional minutes reported. 2. Impact of the Heat Wave: MMSD district closed this year for one day because of a heat wave. This also had an impact on the number of instructional minutes reported. 3. In order to report accurate instructional minutes, we only included the Instructional minutes taught by the DPI licensed teachers.
Medford Area (3409)6/4 to 8/294013394,161,1808636We revamped our whole summer school program this year. We significantly increased the course offerings and promoted the new program to the community parents. For these reasons, we had many more students participate and were able to continue quality education into the summer months.
Milwaukee (3619)6/3 to 7/2638441321,758,958448366Increased attendance at Freshman Bridge, Higher completion rate for online courses, Increased online acceleration course options, Eighth grade students participated in acceleration courses, Offered face-to-face and online courses, Offered ACT prep camp, One high school offered a 4 week academic prep camp, Increased instrumentality charter school participation, Increased participants in Grade 8 Program.
Mount Horeb Area (3794)6/17 to 8/22326421,467,362308This year we added enrichment classes to our summer school program. In the past, we only held remedial courses.

New Auburn (3920)6/11 to 8/3032131360,97572Last year we did not have the regular K-6 Summer School. Last year we only offered the Summer Agriculture classes and Drivers Ed for High school students.
Nicolet UHS (2177)6/18 to 7/2623104312,470614Three reasons: 1. IT Essentials is no longer a required course. We typically had three sections in the summer and this year only had 1. 2. Less failures during the school year which leads to less kids in summer school (particularly in math) 3. When students finished their work, they were done with the the class; as opposed to being required to stay in class for the full duration. This decreases the ADM calculation.
