Howards Grove (2605)School Census / Common School FundThe Common School Library Fund Aid is an annual entitlement program that distributes the interest earned on loans made from the Common School Fund, one of the state trust funds set up by the Wisconsin Constitution. This report collects school census data as of June 30 for the purpose of paying out Common School Library Aid to Wisconsin School Districts. See Wisconsin's Common School Fund for more details. Requirements on Spending the Common School Library Fund AidWisconsin statute §43.70(3) indicates that moneys apportioned from the common school fund shall be expended for the purchase of library books and other instructional materials for school or for the purchase of instructional materials from the Wisconsin Historical Society for use in teaching Wisconsin history in accordance with rules prescribed by the state superintendent. The allocation can be spent only for the following items, and only if they are part of the collection of materials housed in the library media center. The district must spend an amount equal to the Common School Fund aid payment by June 30th in the following accounts:
