Colby (1162)6/5 to 8/29407541,075,3802213We had an extra session in June and another in August.
Cornell (1204)6/5 to 8/2237115597,306126We added 16 additional summer school days in July and August that we did not have last year.
Cuba City (1246)6/4 to 8/445219122,799320The district had a shortened summer due to starting the 2023-24 school year early because of a referendum construction project starting in May 2024. The 2023 summer will be our short summer and the 2024 summer will be our long summer. Since we had a short summer, we shortened the number of days for summer school. Overall our numbers were down across the board for participation.
Cumberland (1260)6/12 to 8/31595982,358,6964931This year we offered 16 more classes and had much higher attendance than in last year. As COVID is going away, more students are attending the classes they enrolled in. Also, we pushed summer school back one week this year to give kids a break before jumping back in and we had a very positive response to that in both attendance and enrollment.

Manawa (3276)6/12 to 8/3169533546,0421127The drastic change from 2022 to 2023 is that we were unable to staff Driver's Ed as well as the Musical. The musical brought in a large number of students as well as minutes ranging from grades K-12. This upcoming year, we already have a teacher interested in obtaining the Driver's Ed licensure/teach the coach, and we are searching for a musical instructor. Without having the musical, this also works as a wrap around to have summer school become a whole day. This also affected the number of students signing up for summer school.
Marion (3318)6/5 to 8/2743180491,400105We significantly expanded our summer school offerings for the summer of 2023.
Menomonie Area (3444)6/7 to 8/3162309914,117,866290188Our district added various new summer programming. Jumpstart, Boys & Girls Club at the middle school level, increased high school online classes, and our total student enrollment was up due to higher student participation.
Merrill Area (3500)5/30 to 8/3403911,202,7562551Course offerings were somewhat limited due to lack of finding instructors for some offerings. We tried a new model at the K-2 level. The number of students that signed up for summer school was significantly lower than the previous year. The new model may have impacted interest.
Middleton-Cross Plains (3549)6/19 to 8/31415462,495,1105133We included our high school Color Guard and Marching band clinics this summer which accounted for an extra 173 students.
Montello (3689)6/6 to 8/2347197683,090148Our FTE increase was due to a number of factors. Our school district was awarded an ESSER III Summer School Grant. This allowed us to make programing improvements. We provide students with more opportunities, including students requiring support. Enhanced and required courses were offered, which increased student enrollment, engagement and attendance. The grant funding allowed us to implement an additional week of learning.
