This module contains data related to school district property taxes, by fiscal year, including levies for general operations, debt service, capital expansion, and community services. Property values are equalized to reflect market value rather than local assessed value. The equalized levy rate is the total property tax levy divided by the current year equalized property value with tax incremental financing (TIF) values excluded. Levy rates are shown in "mills" or property tax dollars levied per $1,000 of equalized property value.
Additional information on district tax levies and historical tax levy data can be found here. [url: https://dpi.wi.gov/sfs/statistical/basic-facts/district-tax-levy-rates ].
This module contains three reports displaying data related to school district tax levies for 2022-23 forward. Historical tax levy data for earlier years can be accessed on the Wisconsin School District Taxes and Levy Rates webpage.
